About Us

Berkeley Chinese Alumni International Association

Beyond what you've read in our introduction, you're perhaps looking for more details and information about us.

What Are We Looking For?

Commitment. To have commitment is to participate in BCAIA events and contribute to the club. Unlike certain clubs on campus that take up 15 hours or more every week, we aren't a club that aims to take up a huge chunk of your time. However, we don't want this to miscommunicate that a lack of communication or participation is okay. All of our events and gatherings require lots of effort, time, and setup of your fellow alumni and peers.

Additionally, we are looking for leadership. We're looking for those who are looking to take initiative and contribute to the club. The club membership does not end with just graduation, rather it's for life.

There are two groups of BCAIA, one is the student club and the other is the alumni club.

Alumni Club

The BCAIA alumni club is the biggest UC Berkeley alumni club all over the world. We have chapters in the Bay Area, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Wuhan, NYC, LA to name a few. Students who graduate from the student club can join and become a part of the alumni club. Unlike most alumni clubs, not only are we very active, we have the greatest quantity of active chapters that hold multiple events every year in many different cities.

Student Club

The student-facing part of BCAIA is a club that fosters a community of Chinese descent Berkeley students to be more successful in their careers, studies, entrepreneurship, and networking. One major aspect of the student club is the mentorship program. Every semester we will assign and introduce BCAIA alumni to be mentors of students. We will be giving more information in our info session. Activities involve planning for events such as networking events, alumni events, social events, etc..
